Dr. Chiche is Clinical Professor at Augusta University, Dental College of Georgia where he recently completed his 10-year term as the Thomas P. Hinman Endowed Professor in Restorative Dentistry, and Director of the Center for Esthetic & Implant Dentistry. He is a Past President of the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry. He has given numerous programs in Esthetic Dentistry nationally and internationally in 35 countries and he is the author of two textbooks in Esthetic Dentistry published by Quintessence Publishing Co.: “Esthetics of Anterior Fixed Restorations” with Alain Pinault and “Smile Design” with Hitoshi Aoshima. He is Emeritus Professor at Louisiana State University, he became in 2009 the first recipient of the Endowed Chair sponsored by the Thomas P. Hinman Dental Society, and he is the 2020 recipient of the Icon Award of the Seattle Study Club.

Bonding all-ceramic crowns and onlays - My Experience

Abstract of the presentation – 50 minute presentation This presentation will outline our 7-year experience using two separate self-etching primer systems for bonding all-ceramic crowns and onlays in our Prosthodontics Graduate Program and Center for Esthetics and Implants. It will provide a clear and structured understanding of their applications based on practical clinical experience built over the years and contemporary research bonding to lithium disilicate and zirconia. The respective exact indications for different ceramics will be presented in conjunction with the bonding protocols.
